tyco attic head

Tyco

I had a question about the DPV1 dry valve. I called, left a message and got a return phone call from the local salesman. I got my questions answered, w/o a salespitch.

I have called them once already about this project and the attic heads

Not sure if I got the person I should have , answered most if the questions

I think this problem needs some pictures sent to them, may call back and see if they will accept some pictures and if they would be able to make a call with pictures only

May call a local rep to see if they do field calls and offer advice

Looks like your typ truss bracing would be OK, but if it were a roof system with purlins closer than 3' or greater than 6"...heads on both sides.....

Talked again to a tyco person with great knowledge of the attic heads.

He pointed out another obstruction rule that looks like it would apply

So back to the project to have another look

In the drawing, if the 6" or larger obstruction is closer than 36" Verticle to the sprinkler head, then another head would be required below the obstruction?

If near the roof deck only,

As shown in the drawing
