Type 2 hood - Induction range

Let's say you're using an induction range to cook things that don't produce grease vapors.

Does this condition always require a Type 2 hood?
Or are there scenarios, in addition to the exception listed below, where a Type 2 is not required?

exception: except where the heat and moisture loads from such appliances are incorporated into the HVAC system design or into the design of a separate removal system.

At least in my way of thinking the source of the heat doesn't matter any. It depends on the fact that various things are being cooked and thus there is equivalent sources of vapor being produced so hood is Req!

You can get out of Type I, then you can get out of Type II with the HVAC system.....

But what if you can't rely on the overall HVAC system to accommodate?
Are there any scenarios where a Type 2 hood is not necessary, if you can't rely on the overall HVAC?
What if you're just warming up water, or warming up food. I'm just trying to parse out what that line is.

This is 2024 so it's stupid but anyway:

507.3

Type II hoods shall be installed above light-duty cooking appliances, dishwashers and appliances that produce heat or moisture and do not produce grease or smoke as a result of the cooking process. Type II hoods shall be installed above all appliances that produce products of combustion and do not produce grease or smoke as a result of the cooking process. A Type I hood shall be permitted to be installed for a required Type II hood, provided that the Type I hood installation complies with all of the requirements for a Type I hood installation. Where such a Type I hood serves only dishwashers and appliances that require a Type II hood, the Type I hood shall not be required to have fire suppression or grease filters.

If this is under the I-codes, electric ranges are considered medium duty appliances. I would consider an induction range as an electric range. 507.2 requires a type I hood over all medium duty appliances. Ranges of any kind are way to versatile, all it takes is a menu change to create problems.
