UL 10c 1 hr label on mag locks, or only UL label with no time listed

Door inspector called out UL 10c 1 hr label on mag locks installed on 90 min opening protectives. Also called out another model mag lock that has UL label with no time listed on a 45 min opening. What exactly do these two labels tell me and what openings are they actually rated for?

If there is a time limit stated on the UL 10C label, that's the maximum rating of the fire door assembly that the product can be used on. If there is no time shown on the UL 10C label, it usually means that the product is listed for the maximum fire door rating (usually 3 hours), but you should check the lock manufacturer's listing info to be sure.

If it's another type of UL label, not UL 10C, that label would not indicate that the product can be used on a fire door assembly. For example, the lock might be listed to UL 294 or UL 1034, but if it's going on a fire door, the UL 10C label would also be needed.
