Will the code require self closing doors in a house.

Dam, now my wife would want a cat door on the door.

Not sure having the door is closed is a good idea if you can't get out the small noncomplying window.

The codes do not require self-closing doors for bedrooms in single-family homes - but some codes require a self-closing door between the garage and house. If there was a small non-compliant window, the closed door would allow more time for the fire department to reach you.
