I was in need of a specific assembly from a historical volume of the UL Fire Resistance Directory. Specifically, I am looking for UL U442 from say 1990 - 1993. I found one from 2006 here: http://www.superiorbuilders.biz/files/U-442.pdf, to get you in the ballpark of what I am looking for. Even if I could only get it from 1994 or 1995, that would be better than nothing.

I did find full volumes (for different years) for sale on eBay and Amazon, but none of them will arrive as quickly as I need them to. Furthermore, I am really only looking for this one detail. Calling UL is also pointless. They only have current directories available.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick response. It is appreciated.

I am unable to view the attachment. I figured out that I needed to be a Sawhorse subscriber to view it, so I signed up for that and paid the $40 fee. Regardless, the forum is still showing me as just a Member. I contacted support but still have not heard back from them.

He should be able to fix it

Thanks. The detail was exactly what I was looking for. Still can't believe that UL doesn't have any historical copies of the Fire Resistance Directory. For comparison, I suspect ICC has made a killing selling historical digital copies of the building codes on their website.

Welcome!!!! And congrats on making sawhorse status.

The site needs to keep going, so it can help those lost in the code twilight zone!!
