Is there anything wrong with bringing the service entrance buried 2 feet underground in conduit to the opposite side of the house where the meter is mounted on an exterior wall? House is built on pilings and crawlspace is unusable.

Utility pole is at the street, north side of the property. Homeowner wants to run underground conduit from the pole, under the house, and set the meter on the south side. Or similar.

That is up to the utility company. Below the house is not considered inside the house so OK per NEC. Your electric company may have a different view and if you ever have trouble in the future, you are screwed.
