We have a false floor over exposed large timber frame beams. The false floor consists of a hardwood floor, 3/4" sheathing, 2 x 4 cavity with acoustical batt, 3/4" sheathing and 5/16" tongue and groove below. Has anyone ever used table 722.6.2? We need to modify the floor to make it a 1 hour fire rated but want to know where it rates. Does anyone know what that fire rating would be and have any suggestions to get it to one hour?

why do you need the one hour??

What are you separating,,, or why the one hour floor?

By the way you're describing this I'm assuming that your trying to get the rating without changing the appearance? As CDA asked it would help to know why you need the rating and what you're separating. For example are you separating two occupancies? Was this one big house that's now getting split into two units? Is there more than one occupancy type involved? Are there existing (or proposed) fire sprinklers?
