Re: Vent spillage and more.

Is that gas piping a flex connector going through the housing of the furnace?

Insulated duct work penetrating the ceiling?

one or two issues

Sizing of vent connector to draft hood

draft hood cocked

lack of vent connector support on both

downhill run

clearance to combustibles--6" to single walled connector

single walled connector penetrating ceiling

common vent sizing?

firestop

TPR drain

sediment traps on both

ground unions on both

flex connector through cabinet

clearances to junk in room

secondary condensate drain

condensate vent

6"clearance btw connector and condensate drain pvc

elbow right off top of both appliances--should have 12"min vent rise

seismic straps

30"x36" clearance in front of furnace cabinet

Q-do you have adequate makeup air?

Otherwise, nice installs!

Re: Vent spillage and more.

Well Hearthman that's the type of reply I appreciate.

Re: Vent spillage and more.

tigerloose, do you actually see these things or does someone send them to you? Looks like the contractors in your area need lots and lots of training.

Re: Vent spillage and more.

These are all pictures I have taken myself. I've been carrying a camera for about five years and many of the pictures are old. Pictures work wonders when someone calls the B/O to complain.
