Once upon a time, I had a very unhappy "Marriage".. (job). My main nemesis was the "other" inspector..

Seems the jurisdiction has to pay out $7500 for his recent actions.. :)

That made my day!

best thing that ever happened to me professionally was getting out of that toxic environment!

He was such an ice hole...

I worked there for 14 (mostly) miserable months... (mostly because of him.. directly).

I should have known when I did the second interview (which included a plan review).. me coming in as a master code professional, him with ICC residential building inspector. His comment (when the HR director said "any advise for her" his answer was "she's supposed to know everything"). I gave the planning director my plan review comments (a plan that was held up by this guy), he said "did you catch the fact that the foundation wall is only 8' and the wall section is showing a 9' ceiling" .. well, the plans showed an 8' poured wall with a 1.5' framed rat wall.. with an engineers seal...

so yes. he was really that bad.

peach,

Are you not with IB__S any longer, or are you referring to a [ contractual ]

agreement with a jurisdiction ?......Also, the `ol saying of "what goes around,

comes around" is very true !

Happy with my current employer.. this was a place from 8 years ago... great benefits, but a very difficult environment to work in..

I had to leave a job I loved due to a terrible supervisor who knew nothing about management and "knew" my job better than I did (I'm an MCP; he's a planner). I didn't think I would find a job that I love more, but as luck would have it, my current job is one I can see staying in until I retire. Sometimes things have a way of turning around. :-)

I'm still waiting for the former boss to get his dues; I'm sure it will come in time.

Glad to hear good things for you Peach!

I know exactly what you mean Peach, but things are better now been here eight years now and is proabaly the best place I have worked. Some of the best people I have ever worked with.

peach,

I too was the victim of working for 7 years with two iceholes. I took the job I retired from to make more money and to get away from these people. Life is too short to be forced to work in a miserable environment. I am still waiting for these two individuals to receive their dose of karma. A good post for those entering the field.

I never dwelled on "those" people after I left.. moved on and eventually up... and that's a nice feeling.

Just a nice satisfying feeling (all those mornings I dragged myself out of bed.. I dreaded going to work from about month 2).

I was really hoping I wasn't the only one ever in that boat.. :)

that makes me feel better.. (in kind of a sick way).. thanks all!

Yesterday was a day, when I struck out at every at bat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks David.. I will try... but it seems I've gone down swinging..

If it were golf, I'd be hitting off the hosel.. or whiffing it.
