Waiting on time bandits

yup, a political driven, massive waste of time, sorry for you. Just completed mine in February (again), so I have a while to forget about the experience.

did mine on tuesday. 25 page forms to fillout. took hours of my time and staff time. interview and questioning by a pompous glorified insurance salesman and for what? i asked what difference it would make to the consumer if i went from a current 9 to a 3 and he said 10 bucks a year! lovely experience, NOT!

Asked two insurance salesman in my area about ISO ratingings, they did'nt know what I was talking about! but we got ours lowered to a 6.

Just got ours.. we're at a 4 currently.

I have no idea what my predecessor put on the last form, but I'm about 90% through filling out this one.

We'll see what happens.

We where a 3 for res and com got mine back last month and fell to a 4 on both, missed it by 3 points. Easy to get back. adopt wildland interface code which will not be used in a city, start using a check list ( which have pro's & cons) and have the flood plain manager provide the information that he never did but will now that the city manager told him to. Have till the end of June to submit the plan and if approved one year to implement.

Also lost point because we did not spend 2% of our budget on training the year before he came. They don't care about all the years in between so I now know how to play the game better. ;)
