What's this Pipe in my bathroom for? Can I bend it?

I want to install a toilet paper niche on the opposite side of a pony wall next to my toilet. There is a huge black pipe in the way. The pipe goes from the floor to the ceiling. My sink p-trap is also connected to this. Any idea what this is for? Can I re-route it so it bends around the niche or does it need to be completely straight?

It would be easier to change the location for the TP dispenser. But yes, you could reroute. call a licensed plumber.
