In the interest of trying to help others know when certain Federal standards / regulations apply to a particular project, I'm posting an image from an analysis by the city attorney of a major municipality a few years ago. The goal is to show what kind of project funds or income sources trigger these standards.
Notes:
1. This is solely focused on the dwelling units. Obviously, rental offices and other areas intended for public use trigger ADA.
2. This chart is separate from / in addition to any local accessibility regs, such as ANSI 117.1, CBC 11A, 11B, etc.
