Where can I find/what brand carries the red 4-hr rated fire retardant spray that is used in, example, electrical rooms around wires fed through walls. It is not the caulking I am looking for, but the spray that is sometimes applied over insulation.

Thank you,

Steven

The other comment is the fire stop method has to be listed and installed for the penetration encountered.

There are approved UL assemblies with recommended materials that you can look up. Start with that based on the type of wall material the penetration is going through. At 4 hours I don't think a sprayed material may be sufficient and you may be looking at some sort of putty at that point. Hilti makes ones which is the Hilti CP618. Red color.

There may be a 4 hour spray applied material for penetrations out there but I don't know about it. I find that those sprays (intumescent, elastomeric or foam... ) - even ones for 4 hours which are mostly used for construction joints or as a coating - are only approved for 2 hours if used for penetrations if even approved for penetrations.
