I have a project in shelter island NY with large floor to ceiling curtain walls of glass. What kind of wind speed rating should these windows have? I found some local code requiring 75mph but the client may want the windows to withstand a serious hurricane as the house is located on the beach.

This side of LI sound is 130mph.....75 seems low......

Check 2020 IRC Design wind speed table R301.2 (2).
Town could have amended the NY State Building Code wind speed down, but unlikely.
