Would You Go Up in a Lift

Re: Would You Go Up in a Lift

If you are talking about a Bosun's chair, then yeah I been in one more than a few times...

One hand for yourself, and the other for your work!

Re: Would You Go Up in a Lift

mtlog - I work in a Town with a great view of the Shawangunk ridge (don't try to pronounce that phonetically), a world class free-climbing location. I grew up about an hour from it. Have had many friends who were into climbing and rapelling. I've even been told that I would be good at it. It's just not my preferred activity, but if I ever get out your way, we'll do a little hiking and climbing. ;)

Re: Would You Go Up in a Lift

It depends on what kind of lift it is. From the photo it looks like a boom lift, in which case, YES I would difinitely where a harness and a hardhat. They can be very "jerky" when they're in motion. A more simple straight up the air, scissor lift, NO a harness is not neccessary, but it does require a guard so as not fall over the side. Hardhats are always a good idea!
