Exterior exit discharge fire rating?

Is there a fire rating requirement for an exterior exit discharge? I have a 2hr fire rated stair core that exits to a lobby, then to an exteior exit discharge--the exit discharges a 38" wide "alley" that is created by an historic building and a newer development with a face on line wall.

If I were to put a canopy over this alley with a secure gate at the sidewalk and keep it open air, does this corridor need to be fire separated from the adjacent property? Other than specified on table 602, IBC 2012 See the link to a drawing.

Picture don't work

So is this an existing condition?

If not what part are you creating??

As you already pointed out, IBC Table 602 would require your exterior wall to be at least one-hour fire-rated for assembly, residential, and business occupancies.
But the 2 hour fire-rating for the vertical stairway would need to be applied all along the horizontal exit passageway (alley way) per IBC 1023.3.

IBC 1023.3 Construction of exit passageway enclosures shall have walls, floors and ceilings of not less than a 1-hour fire-resistance rating, and not less than that required for any connecting interior exit stairway or ramp. Exit passageways shall be constructed as fire barriers in accordance with Section 707 or horizontal assemblies constructed in accordance with Section 711, or both.
