Looking at a potential small A2 project, new construction, less than 5,000 sf.
The client has a pretty tight construction budget but is looking for some outdoor areas enclosed by fencing.
Potential for food trucks, or outdoor social areas. They have asked to minimize any hard scaping. Obviously that posses a problem for accessibility.
Floor surface shall be stable, firm and slip resistant. So does that mean we need hardscaped access to all functions? or can a maintained grass area equate to being stable, firm and slip resistant?
obviously stone or mulch for large outdoor areas will help keep the construction costs down, but I need to maintain accessibility access to most of the areas making that cost savings tough to implement.
Any thoughts?
