We just got a review back from the building department asking us for "Architectural Barriers". They put our project on hold.

What is the best way to represent this information to them? That is all they said, nothing else. Any help much appreciated!

"Architectural Barriers Number". Had to correct the question. That's is what they want. Do I just give them the humber?

Probably not a good idea if you have some. I am just old and starting to lose my filters.
I have heard where review agencies will reject a plan with vague comments just because they are backlogged and it allows them more time to actually review the plans while you scratch your head trying to figure out what they want.

What you say is true. They actually did that already with this same job. Wanted something that applied to new subdivisions. This is a property that's been around for decades. Had to talk to several engineers and architects just to tell them, we don't think that applies. I am just wondering if we can add this really quick to the existing plan, or just let them know the number in writing.

Give them a number in writing and a description of the work
For example: Remove all round door knobs along the accessible route and replace with lever action

You think?
I feel like Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory. He has to ask when something is sarcasm. The local authorities seem to just want to put the EABPRJ number on your permit application. Did I misunderstand what this thread is about?

Lol.... Only thing they put on the review response was "Architectural Barriers Number" nothing more. My interpretation was they needed a number of some kind lol.
