If you have multiple mini splits in a space, eliminate one, and take the wall unit from the eliminated one and attach it to another existing lineset since you don't want the ceiling unit it had does that require a permit?
To me that's pre-existing, and I'm starting to think the particular person saying this just doesn't like me. It's just late otherwise I'd contact the hvac people. I find it odd they wouldn't have done so. I have multiple other permits posted in the window. The permit paperwork makes it sound like it has to be new.
And window stickers... is there a 30% of the window can't be covered requirement? I haven't found anything in ordinances. I put 70/30 window stickers that allow light in and let you see out pretty alright (hundreds of little holes perforating it. figured its better than shades). What I've gathered so far is it's a 30% visibility out of the space requirement. In which case that's exactly what 70/30 stickers are for.
