This request is more for those in code enforcement, but I will take any feedback from those with experience on this issue.
IBC Section 3105.1 states, "Awnings and canopies shall comply with the requirements of Sections 3105.2 and 3105.3 and other applicable sections of this code."
What "other" sections of the code do you think are "applicable"?
Obviously, Sections 3105.2 and 3105.3 override the requirements for construction type; but do the requirements for allowable area, fire separation distance, sprinkler protection, fire alarm notification, opening protection, etc., come into play because they are "other applicable sections of the code"?
