Not where I really want to be
We have discussed this multiple times over the past 14 years. Yes, you heard that right, 14 years. Anyway, it is time to have that discussion again. I am looking for input as to the amount of interest in The Building Code Forum hats, shirts and other stuff. First, I have to come up with some logo options and have everyone vote on them and while that is in process, do we want anything other than shirts and hats? What kind of shirts? Polo, T's, Button Down, Long Sleeve, etc?

GO!

Here are some basic concepts to look at. Yes, there are spelling issues, but these are concepts only. I would send the concept to a logo specialist if we can agree on a direction to go to.

Speaking as someone who has some logo design experience (including a newspaper masthead, a couple of non-profits, businesses and a municipality that - ironically - I now do building inspection for) I'd suggest fewer lines. Simplicity.
Oh I agree. I don't like any of them. I wanted clean, modern, professional & minimal

I did my best to get an AI logo of a flamethrower and rabbits. For some demented reason, the AI generator thought that I wanted the rabbits on fire. Oh it’s awful to think about … but trust me it was something to see.. Rabbits live in the forest. …. I might get reported for this.

There’s a definite downside to the internet. I’m getting emails about flame throwers and burnt rabbits. One misguided sentence at an AI platform and I’ll be forever linked to rabbitticide? My goodness I hope I can keep my mind locked up.

This showed up today, 12-11-23. Not as bad as the ones I can't post.

I liked the old page header with the plans, pencils & scales on it personally.

As to apparel, remember some of us still live above the Mason Dixion Line, by a good bit.......

Five-minute conceptual idea:

I like this as a concept, but as a logo to be applied to clothing I think it has some detail problems:
  1. The thin lines are too thin to reproduce well using the silk screening process for application on clothing. If for some reason we wanted embroidered, sew-on emblems, it would be impossible.
  2. The font should be a sans-serif font. The serifs won't reproduce well in silk screening on cloth (or in embroidery).

It was Don Julio and his donkey made a mess.

I tried Bing AI. I asked for a simple design that included a sawhorse. I didn't get a simple design but I did get a sawhorse.
