    Daycare toilets, IBC 2902.1

    In 2015 IBC table 2902.1, it requires 1:15 toilets in a daycare and 1:50 in educational. So if a daycare is classified as an E, would they follow the 1:50? Our local rules allow the kids under 2.5yrs to be left out of the toilet fixture counts.

    If a toilet compartment is not required to be ambulatory (2015 IBC 1109.2.2), can the builder still install grab bars in those toilet compartments? Must the bars then be in compliance with ICC A117.1-2009 section 604 as to dimensions & location? I think the argument being made is that there...

    Are common areas in apartment buildings, such as gyms and community rooms, required to have restrooms? I've seen plenty of these areas without restrooms but can't find anything in the code that says they are not required. Additionally, unless the room had less than 10 occupants, 2+ restrooms...
