1/2 hour rated wall penetrations

709.3 exceptions allow for 1/2 hr rated walls yet all penetrations still require fire sealing.

Does anyone have 1/2 rated systems or are 1 hr methods still the minimum allowed in these walls?

It seems that fire caulks, collars, dampers etc all start with 1 hour.

Good question, since the ratings really start at one hour, i assume that most people require this as a minimum since a 1/2 hour rating doesn't exist.

You should have 20min doors and 20 min glass in a 30 min barrier. The penetrations will have a 1-hour rating. I don't see anything on the hilti website listing a 1/2 hour penetration:

Either way there aren't any 1/2 hour rated penetration ratings on hilti's website. UL listing is a big pain!
