10,000 separate threads!!

WOW! Awesome. It's a great tool, I just used it this morning for a thread on AAV's, BAM, first one up!

I disagree.

Old threads can be resurrected with new information and/or a slight variant on the topic. I prefer this to having multiple threads on the same topic.

How about your logic on that one please because I tend to disagree but I am wiling to learn or be humbled.
Posters are not using "date" of code reference. Codes change every three years. Code references, interpretations change all the time. people are bringing up old posts questioning what was, not what is or will be....

I have a thread that I started in 2011 that's going strong. It's starting to take a long time to load but there's 800+ replies.

Come to think of it, that's 800+ replies mostly from me so maybe I should retire the thread. Perhaps I should buy a hobby.

Never mind, if you do not see any benefit.

Just a thought.

Just thinking of people getting outdated information

They do that anyway, reader beware

No everyone is under the most current code cycle so posters are already dealing with that situation. Even in many of the responses we have to ask what code cycle they are under. Most issues appear to be the same regardless of code cycle. I personally like to see old threads resurrected if they bring a lot to the table rather than having to go back and start a new one. I will, however, look into this with the technical people to see what their opinion is. I know that some sites do exactly what you are recommending. I hope we can uncover the ups and downs of this for a lesson that someone else already learned.
