2 Hour firewall

I have A 2 hour firewall that they want the steel fireproofed with intumescent at the roof, can I reduce this to 1 hour if the steel is only supporting the roof ? Table 601 says I can

Table 601 addresses fire resistance for structural purposes. It doesn't allow you to deduce a 2-hour firewall to 1-hour.

Please post a detail showing how the steel columns are built into the firewall, and show what the firewall is constructed of.
