2009 I-codes plumbing access door in wall min size?

In a 2009 I-codes jurisdiction, an existing 90 min. access door in a rated wall to access shut off valves for plumbing is 24" x 24".Does code require a minimum size (chp & verse)?We would like to change the door to 20"H x 24"W.

I don't believe so, as long as you can operate the valves.....18" (I believe) in front of cleanouts...

No minimum size unless you have crawl through an opening.

606.3 Access to valves. Access shall be provided to all full-open valves and shutoff valves.

ACCESS (TO). That which enables a fixture, appliance or equipment to be reached by ready access or by a means that first requires the removal or movement of a panel, door or similar obstruction (see "Ready access").
