2009 IBC Building Height and Area Limitations - Calculator

The new online versions of "Check Height & Area" Calculators for 2006/2009 IBC and 2008/2010 CBC are now available at this website:

These are easy to use calculators for design/analysis of buildings up to 6 stories, with up to 4 occupancy groups at each level. By using these applications you can also calculate the Frontage increase (If) and the Grade Plane elevation. The calculators are completely free. Please utilize them and send your comments and suggestions to the author.

Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for sharing your calculators.

I noticed that you are LEED AP. It seems that there are more certifications than jobs; and that a person is either too qualified or needs one more certification to keep up with the requriements.

Could you share some information on your LEED AP Certification; and how it is helpful to you; and how it might be useful to Building Officials and Inspectors?

For anyone interested in the LEED Certification; I don't know how reliable this is; here is an organization that is giving a cert exam course in January;

They claim 90% pass rate.

Any discussion about LEED would probably be better located in Other Topics » Green / Leed. Not complaining, just a suggestion. Thanks for the calculators!
