So I work on the employment ads section, but I'm keenly aware that many/most folks aren't crazy about pulling up stakes and moving. Despriation might make you do that, like it did me, but most folks like where they are living and would rather not move. What does the board think about putting up a forum where members who were looking for jobs could post resumes?? We could put a time limit, after one or two months the resume would be deleted ...

Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions??

Do you mean a sub-forum within this webste? If so, I think it's an excellent idea. Might consider making it in the contributor's area however. Lots of folks might not want their employers to know they're looking.

Yes a sub-forum would be great, and I agree with txbo about the contributor area, a little screening, but at a minimal cost. Won't protect them if an employer is willing to pay to check, but...........at least the forum gets a couple extra bucks, right?

I mean from the employer, not the applicant.

Sorry, little late to the party and this thread didn't show up bold for a new one???? Anyway, I love the idea and I'm tired of being in the fire service and want to get into a private gig doing fire protection audits and system commissioning if the new NFPA 3 catches on :)

Excellent. Just excellent. mmmarvel, can't tell you how much we all appreciate all your work. I know you have a heart for those looking for employment in these hard times. I have wondered many time how you find all of the open positions? Please keep it up! Thank you!

FM just start branching out. That is what I have done and in a few places I am just trying to get my foot in the door. I also think it is a good idea with the sub forum.

I have missed a lot here over the last few weeks. Much to read and catch up on. Been on a self instructed flood plain management study the last few weeks.

wow, that sounds like a page turner........... haha. Like any of the things we pursue most folks would find exciting, right?
