I think I know the answer here, but just wanted to verify.

If you have two Business (B) tenants on one floor, where one tenant has a occupant load of more than (50) and one tenant with a load less than (50), is it acceptable if the smaller tenant has access to only 1 fire stair?

Scenario illustrated here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jbakqb79ixid4rs/2018-05-04 14.31.32.jpg?dl=0

Or would both tenants have to have access to both stairs?

The number of exits is per story, so if a story is required to have two exits, then all occupants on that story are required to have access to both exits.

Thanks Guys. For my education, can you point me to where in the IBC 2015 it outlines that it's a 'per floor' requirement?

Thanks Much, Ryan

This is 06

1014.2.1 Multiple tenants.

Where more than one tenant occupies any one floor of a building or structure, each tenant space, dwelling unit and sleeping unit shall be provided with access to the required exits without passing through adjacent tenant spaces, dwelling units and sleeping units.

Should be the same in 15 maybe different numbers
