ADA Ramp

RAMP. A walking surface that has a running slope steeper than one unit vertical in 20 units horizontal (5-percent slope).

If you can make it less than 5% then it is not a ramp and the handrail requirements go away

Actually, it's a ramp when it is steeper than 1:20. Thus, you can have an incline with a slope of 1:20 and it will not be considered a ramp.
