Program Description
On March 15, 2012, the 1991/1994 Americans with Disability Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) will no longer be an acceptable design standard nationwide. On that date, the 2010 Standards for Accessible Design (SAD) will be the only acceptable federal design standard. This full - day program will study the 2010 DOJ Standards for Accessible Design from cover to cover. This newly developed program is not a comparative analysis between the old and new standards. This training will cover scoping and technical requirements for accessibility to new or altered buildings and facilities by individuals with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. This highly interactive and concentrated course is intended to last 8 hours. This is an advanced curriculum for professionals in construction, design, government, codes and others with a professional interest and extensive experience in accessibility design.

Professionals in Architecture, Construction, Design, Government, and Codes.
The seminar will be held at the City of Omaha Public Safety Training Center located at 11616 Rainwood Road.
