Aircraft hangar doors and means of egress

Does an private aircraft hanger with the capacity for a single small plane require a man door or is the overhead door adequate? The hangers are for storage purposes only. No work such as that outlined in IBC section 412.3.6.1 will be performed within.

Also, what happens if the OH door mechanism fails? Cut a hole in the side of the building to access and fix?

You still need an egress door unless the integral man door meets the requirements of 1010. The 3/4" max threshold will be difficult.

S-1 buildings requires an accessible entrance. And an accessible exit if new. Don't forget the braille exit sign.
