Am I really that bad? (MAJOR whine)

Very true Peach - I hope I didn't come across as lumping the good ones in with the bad. I've worked with some very good reviewers who were able to back their comments with code cites and were open to alternative solutions that met the code requirements.

Not to go off topic but it begs the question, how are fees determined by the jurisdiction? Do not know the specifics of this project but I would assume a dwelling of 3000 sq ft, in my area this would run around $1000.00 for plan review, permit, inspection & CO. Zoning would be seperate along with other municipal specific fees such as H2O/sewer tap, etc...

Was the font at 48.... Your plans are twenty pages and the issuing company blasted a sixteen page correction, truely over the top. I do not have to see the plans to declare that statement.

This reminds me of a feud between two inspectors who intentially one up'ed each other at each stage of inspection - both of them needed to be fired and unfortunately was not the case.

saw a 4 story below garage permit fee at $248,000 .. that didn't include the 11 story office building OR the 11 story residential building sitting on them..

Alan:Per chance was the plan checking firm the one with the Latin word for truth in it's name?
Greetings and can I get a Hallelujah?

We used them for some extra help with PC awhile back in another jurisdiction. Big mistakes made. I flagged one on a type V office that required a large portion of the roof to be redone and this was on a field inspection no less. Major issues with some electrical they missed that same town. They were kicked out of a town near Austin for worthless inspections I just learned the other day. In one instance the dude passed a GTO without getting out of his car.
