I wanted to confirm the only door that needs to comply with Push/Pulls in a Type "B" apartment is the main door. All other interior doors do not need to meet the push/pull clearances, only need to be 32" clear.

Is this corrrect?

You may be correct........... both the FHA and ANSI A117 (2009) only require maneuvering clearances on the exterior side of the entry door with no requirements for maneuvering at the interior side or at interior doors. Though the 2009 ANSI A117 is the reference Edition for the 2015 and 2018 IBC I do not know what Edition will be referenced in the 2021 IBC. However when and if the 2017 Edition of ANSI A117 is adopted take note that maneuvering clearances on the interior and exterior side of the entry door.

Maneuvering clearances are required for doors which have a latch AND a closer. I'm not sure I've ever seen an interior door with a closer in a residence. The only case I can think of might be a secondary exit to a stair in an apartment.

ANSI 117.1-2009 requires maneuvering clearances on both sides of the primary entrance door per 1004.5.1 which references 404. 404 does not provide any exceptions for the interior side of the primary entrance door. FHADM only requires maneuvering clearances from the exterior.

Maneuvering clearances are required for all doors on an accessible route. Doors with latches and closers have additional clearance requirements.

Skipped a heartbeat on this one, thought I had hundreds of non-compliant units out there. Whew............ look at the Exception to 1004.5.1.

I just saw that the 2003 A117.1 does not require maneuvering clearance on the interior side of unit entry doors. So, it depends on the locally adopted code.
Starting with the 2009 code the exemption is no longer allowed.
