Boise Idaho in hot seat

Boise Planning & Development Services faces lawsuit from a homeowner after plans were changed without full recheck-

The article really gives no verified facts. Everything is an allegation. To be very clear, the responsibility was that of the submitter to bring in plans, no matter what. The codes, basic wording, states that no violations of these codes may be done at any time. It is not just the inspector or city who works on these projects. The 1st people in this lawsuit should be the licensed professional, then the owner himself, then the contractor and any other sub-contractor, then of course the city. Proving intentional negligence on the city is very difficult. I hope for all parties this can be adjusted appropriately for a safe building and a better Building Dept.
