Braced walls for a block building.

Doing a (not stamped) plan review for a block wall garage. Residential detached garage. Plans indicate a 14' wide building with a 12' opening for the door. How do you do wall bracing or do you even need it? Will they need to be engineered? I'm worried that the engineering might cost more than the garage.


R602.10 Wall bracing.

Buildings shall be braced in accordance with this section. Where a building, or portion thereof, does not comply with one or more of the bracing requirements in this section, those portions shall be designed and constructed in accordance with Section R301.1.
