Brain Tease: FMC as equipment ground

277vac, 20A lighting circuit for an arched concrete hallway. Instead of using pipe, the contractor decided to use FMC (between fixtures only) for ease of installation due to the concave ceiling. Since FMC is allowed as a ground, he did not run a separate equipment ground. The termination fittings are listed for this application. There are 4 fixtures which means 3 separate runs of FMC that are 30" each.

Is this a compliant installation based on the information given?
