Not where I really want to be
If anyone has not noticed lately, I have been posing lots of questions that are very relevant to our craft in hopes that we will fill this forum with more relevant code information that will help to quench the thirst of search engines. That is not the only reason. I am on a crusade to ensure that good information is out there for people to find that will help the entire code community from homeowner to engineer and everyone in between. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and the information we share here is opinion based on knowledge and experience. We know that it is not a place to settle code disputes but to learn from the situations of others.

None of us are all knowing experts. I know that I learn something new every day, even things that I should have known based on my job title and certifications. I rely on the expertise of others to help me when I am stuck. I enjoy reading the opinions posted by others when I am trying to make a decision. I have appreciated the willingness everyone that has chimed in to help someone out. If we continue to communicate and work together to help everyone understand the codes better, we all win. Together we continue to build a very informational, friendly, professional website forum that serves many people throughout the world. There are a lot of people that visit this forum each day just to read and find information. Most never register. As a matter of fact, registered members that use this forum are the minority of those that use this forum. This minority, however is what has built this forum to what it is today. For that, there are a lot of people out there who owe each and every one of you a thanks.

I wil continue to post questions when I can in hopes that learning takes place at all levels. I may know the answer most of the time before I post a question but not always. Sometimes I think I know the answer but I end up learning something which can be and is humbling. I am asking for continued participation as we concentrate on building the most informative code website out there today. Thank you.

I wonder if a Butte College graduate has contacted the college instructors and made them aware of the forum. I know that I would have found a use for such a forum when I attended. That was before Al Gore invented the internet.

You could have a student discount drive.

Yes! I have noticed the increase in questions. It has made me go back and read the code which is positive. We most often go about the day thinking we know a section or code when in fact we often tend to put our own spin on a particular section. This then becomes a trap because we often think we know something when the words or exception tells us we are wrong.

I would encourage more questions from others and more discussion from those not posting. Like a carpenters pencil, eventually it becomes worn down and needs sharping to keep the line exact.
