It is once again that time of year where the bills start mounting for this forum. As I have done in email, I am again asking for anyone to contribute to the expenses of this forum if you can. 2011 worked out OK even though we had some large expenses with updates and added some mobile apps for Apple and the Android market. They both have updates due and we should be working on them this weekend. In addition, we have a regular software update pending this weekend that was suppose to happen last weekend. I am trying to get the IT company to do the updates on weekends when we are at a lower volume of interaction and hits.

We added a banner that should not be visible if you are a supporting member and logged in to help offset the costs but it is dependent on clicks and views so it is hit and miss money that takes a lot just to make a little. We still don't have a sponsor banner that would bring in more money. This is something I am trying to hold off on.

This year the donations are significantly less than last year and I am hoping that the banner revenue will take the place of the loss in contributions from the members. I thank those that have contributed and it seems as though it is the same people who stepped up to the plate in 2011 that are also once again contributing in 2012. Out of over 2,600 registered members, only 61 have contributed since we started accepting contributions over a year ago.

I feel as though this is an important forum and very helpful and useful to our industry. As I stated from the beginning, I will do whatever I have to to keep this floating. Unfortunately, that costs money, something that not everyone has. We are thankful for your participation and hope that we can get new blood to find a way to contribute to this forum. At this point I would love to have an advertiser take on some banner space to help with the costs.

For those that contribute, the top advertising banners should not be visible and you will have access to a private forum area not accessible to regular members or the public that can be used for sensitive items and or discussions.

Thank you everyone for your continued participation in this forum. Lets have a great 2012..

Just an update for everyone.

So far we are holding our own but we have a few updates, including both mobile apps coming up this weekend. I appreciate all of you that have stepped up to the plate to take the pressure and stress off of me financially for running this board.

At this time we have exactly 62 Supporting Members which is about the same as last year, as a matter of fact, it is the same people from last year who are stepping up this year too. All of you should get a big thank you from the registered members of this board.

62 supporters make up only 2.3% of the current 2,649 registered users of this forum. I would hope that new, fresh members think about making a small donation to take the burden off of the existing contributors.

I will make a promise that if all 2,649 members donate $50 each, I will be happy to dedicate full time hours to this forum/message board..... ;)

May I add that a $20 contribution is only 5¢ a day for the year. (7½¢ if you don't check in on weekends) An outstanding value for this resource IMO.

A big thank you to the supporters of this forum; or shall I say Sawhorses. It appears as though the clear majority of those contributing this year, contributed last year. Again, I thank you. I am having hopes that with all of the new members brought on board this past year, some will be able to step up to the plate to help take the burden off of the few (2%) of this board that clearly supports it since its inception.

Please enjoy some of the perks that come along with being a supporter of this forum such as:

* 250 PMs allowed instead of 100

* Access to a private area of the forum for discussing sensitive issues

* Ability to edit your own posts

* Can view who's online

* Can upload images to signature

* Can create photo albums and upload pictures to them

* More options coming soon!!

I am just going to bump this up a little. Our numbers are not as good as last year concerning contributions to the board. We have twice as many members but very few Sawhorses. Our Google Adsense is petering out. I would like to ask that anyone who uses and enjoys this forum that has not already become a Sawhorse, please consider.

A very BIG thank you too all current, including repeat donating Sawhorses. It is you that makes this board possible.

Thank you!
