Bryan Holland has found (6) legislative bills that relate to the development / construction industry & have been approved by the Governor.

1. SB1122 – Florida Fire Prevention Code http://laws.flrules.org/2013/134

2. HB973 – Alarm System Contracting & Permitting http://laws.flrules.org/files/Ch_2013_203.pdf

3. HB999 – Environmental Regulation http://laws.flrules.org/2013/92

4. SB688 – Florida Statutes http://laws.flrules.org/2013/14

5. HB269 – Building Construction Permits http://laws.flrules.org/files/Ch_2013_193.pdf

6. HB7019 – Development Permits http://laws.flrules.org/files/Ch_2013_213.pdf

Please be advised that many of the above laws go into effect on JULY 1st. (HB973 goes into effect OCTOBER 1st)

Thanks for the links.

Do I remember correctly there are other states that have previously banned the mandate of RFS?

If anyone could confirm and/or provide links, I would appreciate it.

so what does this mean?

For one-story or two-story structures that are less than 10,000

square feet, whose occupancy is defined in the Florida Building Code and the

Florida Fire Prevention Code as business or mercantile, a fire official shall

enforce the wall fire-rating provisions for occupancy separation as defined in

the Florida Building Code.
