2006 IBC. Type IB construction. Referring to 801.2 and the definition for Interior Wall and Ceiling Finish.

1. Is a 3/4" plywood panel applied directly to metal studs permitted?

2. Is a 3/4" MDF panel applied over GWB over metal studs permitted?

Do these materials need to be fire-retardant treated?

thanks.
