Conventional Roof Overframing

I think you folks might find this interesting on this roof-line retrofit of an older home from the 30's here in hurricane country. I need to see this from the outside to determine whether or not the hurricane tie-down strapping is in place for the little knee wall they built on top of the exterior wall.

This has been one of our many questions. Our structural guy met with the contractor and engineer yesterday, and this is one of the many issues they need to address.
