Looking at buying a Nikon D5100, anyone happen to own one??? pro/ con???

or have another mid-range digital slr they have bought with in the last year, they like or hate???

Can't help you with the D5100, but it appears to be in the same class as the Canon xTi that I shoot.

Depending on your abilities/experience with SLR/DSLR, I would say it comes down to your comfort with the camera body and ease of use for it's many functions.

I own the 3100, and am wishing we could have held out for the 5100.
I wish I could stand on the corner a few more weekends and get enough money for the 7000

Kodak is going out of the business but I just bought this - wicked cool and still have not played with all the features

all my recent digital camers have been kodak the sensor quality outperforms the fancy names

the zoom on thos one is incredible.

Had a 4 mp and wore it out - then a 10 mp and just gave to daughter when I bought this on
