Do Type B units on a fourth floor mean that floor is "accessible"?

Trying to figure out if any R-2 building four stories tall requires back-up power for the elevator(s)?

Understood that per 1007.2.1 an accessible floor on the fourth story requires an elevator with back up power (and everything else in 1007.4).

I can design an R-2 with no "accessible" units above the ground floor. All units are required to be type "B" but Type "B" (or "A" units for that matter) aren't "accessible" units. I am required to provide an accessible route to the entry doors of all the units.

So... does the existence of Type A or B units or the requirement for an accessible route to the units mean the floor is "accessible" per 1007.2.1?

Thanks!

First all dwelling units not required to be Type A dwelling Units are required to be Type B dwelling units. Section 1106.2.1.1 and 1106.2.1.2.

An accesible route of travel is required to all Type A and Type B dwelling units. 1105.1.6.

Exceptions could apply to buildings not equipped with elevators. Not the case here. I think every thing else falls into place.

The floor is accessible given the elevator. Since it is accessible, the accessible route must serve all Type A and Type B dwelling and/or sleeping units.
