I am not aware of a code for that, nor any listing requirement. I would like to know if there is something I have been missing.
 
G2426.5 (502.5) Installation. Vent systems shall be sized, installed and terminated in accordance with the vent and appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions and Section G2427.

Those installers can't read?
 
2009 IMC

301.12 Wind resistance.

Mechanical equipment , appliances and supports that are exposed to wind shall be designed and installed to resist the wind pressures determined in accordance with the International Building Code .
