The photo below shows signage that wraps the door (similar to the advertising on buses). In this instance it is installed on a sports arena. If you were inspecting this facility...a) Would you allow this "door wrap" on a fire door (it could potentially affect the performance of the door in a fire)?b) Would you allow it on the egress side of a door that is part of a required means of egress (is the door visible enough?)?c) Is there any concern over having it installed on the access side (non-egress side) of a door?

Means of egress doors shall be readily distinguishable from the adjacent construction and finishes such that the doors are easily recognizable as doors. Mirrors or similar reflecting materials shall not be used on means of egress doors. Means of egress doors shall not be concealed by curtains, drapes, *****DECORATIONS***** or similar materials.

Would the "door wrap" potentially affect the performance of the door in a fire? I doubt it

b) Would you allow it on the egress side of a door that is part of a required means of egress (is the door visible enough?)? no

c) Is there any concern over having it installed on the access side (non-egress side) of a door? same as a if it does effect the door in a fire, yes, if not no

So, what if it's on the exterior? Such as the fire exit only doors on a warehouse store. Not meant for entry/re-entry, that's how I interpret the OP c) Is there any concern over having it installed on the access side (non-egress side) of a door?

I'm okay with it there.

In addition to the inside of the closets,....I would proably go for it on the outside....or maybe some special amusement situation....
