I'm working on a hotel project where I have rated corridors, but my elevator isn't off of a corridor. Do I still need to protect the elevator hoistway opening? See the section below from the 2018 IBC.

3006.2.1 Rated corridors. Where corridors are required
to be fire-resistance rated in accordance with Section
1020.1, elevator hoistway openings shall be protected in
accordance with Section 3006.3.
