Energy Codes 2010 The Future is Now!

July 19-22, 2010

Westin Charlotte Hotel

Charlotte, North Carolina

Energy Codes 2010 will provide hands-on training and face-to-face networking through various training activities with other members in the energy codes community. It represents a unique opportunity to bring together state energy office representatives and members of the building industry and to discuss current building energy code issues and receive consistent technical training on building energy codes and standards

You Easterners have all the fun. All I'd have to do is drive 2,184 miles; pay $360.00; plus travel expenses. Don't suppose they will have one in Oklahoma City.

Since all other codes will be required to adhere to and adapt to, the Energy Codes; I would like to attend; but, not possible at this time. I would encourage everyone who is connected to code administration and compliance; who is close by, or has the funds; to attend.

The Fed is taking the lead on this subject; and, the ICC and NAHB are fully on board. It's important for code administrators, plan reviewers and inspectors to understand that the Energy Code is the lead code; and, start educating themselves in this area.

In the State of Oklahoma; there are only 13 Inspectors who have ICC Energy Code Certifications; and, one of them is Retired. ;)
