just want some clarification. my online research is not clear.
IBC 1011.1 calls for "Exit sign placement shall be such that no point in an exit access corridor or exit passageway is more than 100 feet".
My interpretation is that you need to always be within 100' of an exit sign which is not the same as spacing them every 100 feet.
for example.
If you have a straight corridor that is less than 200' long and has exits at both ends, then you only need exit signs at each end, because there is no point in the corridor where you are more than 100 feet to an exit sign.
