Exit Stair Within a Corridor?

Can a 2nd level exit stair be located within a 2-story rated corridor without being enclosed, or does it have to have it's own rated enclosure that discharges into the exit corridor? The exit corridor discharges to the exterior.
 
Yes, if the stairway complies with Section 1019 (assuming 2018 IBC is applicable here) and is constructed as required for rated corridors.
